In September of 1948, Oscar R. Ewing, the Federal Security Administrator, acknowledged the assistance of Mary Woodard Lasker. (Mrs. Albert D. Lasker, president, the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation). She was serving as a member of the National Health Assembly, Executive Committee. They submitted to President Truman the report entitled, "The Nation's Health -- A Ten Year Program." [AER]
