Dr. Lindberg and Dr. Gwilyn Lodwick developed the first electronic reporting systems for use in hospitals

The University of Missouri in the 1960s was recognized as one of the most advanced centers for medical applications of computers. Dr. Lodwick's radiological computer program for diagnosis of bone tumors was held in high regard. The early hospital information systems incuded clinical reports from the laboratory or x-ray department. [AER]
