the Missouri program invested almost $19 million in federal funds in over 100 projects

The Planning and Operational Grant awards for the period 06/09/66 through 06/27/75 included $30,216,879 direct cost and $722,810 indirect cost for a total of $30,939,689. An excellent summary of the highlights of the Missouri RMP was prepared by Fred Frazier, assistant director for information services. The opening statement is "Early in the program, Missouri pioneered in developing medical use of the computer, with emphasis on making new medical knowledge and capability available to rural physicians."
